WHO WE ARE
Unashamed is a diverse community of Christ-followers with a vision to know God through Biblical truth, grow in genuine love toward God and others, serve sacrificially with our spiritual gifts, and reproduce disciples by engaging our city and the world with the Gospel. All to the glory of God.
We’re a diverse group of all colors, perspectives, and walks of life. It’s our unwavering faith in Christ and His transforming word that binds us. We foster an approachable, grace-centered community –all while challenging members to embrace biblical values and live out their fullest potential in Christ.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
STATEMENT OF FAITH:
I. The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible was written by men who were divinely inspired by God. With God as the author, we believe that the Bible is without error and should be the final authority on truth, faith, and practice in the life of the Christian. – 2 Timothy 3:15-17
II. God
We believe there is only one true God who eternally exists in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – who each have distinct attributes. – Matthew 28:19
- God the Father: God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. – 1 Corinthians 8:6
- God the Son: Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. His substitutionary death and subsequent resurrection provides for the redemption of men from sin. – 1 John 4:14-15
- God the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit illuminates man’s mind to understand the truth of God’s Word. He convicts men of their sin and need for salvation. He lives in the hearts of every follower of Christ and acts as a comfort, guide, and teacher. – Romans 8:9-11
III. Man
We believe man is the special creation of God, made in His own image; therefore, every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love. By his free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race, resulting in the need for salvation through Jesus for all mankind. – Romans 5:1-21
IV. Salvation
We believe salvation is a free gift that is obtained through repentance toward God and personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. – Ephesians 2:8-9

VI. Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell, the place of everlasting punishment. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord. – Matthew 16:27
